Dr Colin Richman was born in South Africa, obtained his dental degree from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and completed his residency in Periodontics at the University of Connecticut.
He held a full time faculty position at Emory University, until the school closed and then entered private practice, limited to Periodontics and Implant Dentistry for the past 30 years.
He is a faculty member in the Depart of Periodontics, Augusta University, Georgia.
He is actively involved in Pre Orthodontic Periodontal Augmentation (POPA), and has been described as a pioneer in the emerging technology of POPA.
He has delivered more than 350 continuing education programs both in the Nationally and Internationally. He is well published and currently working on a book on the POPA topic.
He is the Director of the Seattle Study Club of Atlanta, a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, fellow of the ITI, an Honorable Fellow of the Georgia Dental Association.
He has achieved fellowship in both the American and International College of dentistry.
Dr Richman is married to Maureen Richman, and has two sons, Steven who are practicing Tax attorneys.
